The project is focused on the use of several vehicles (an AUV and an I-AUV) running in a coordinated manner during the execution of a mission, and on the improvement of the manipulation capabilities already developed in&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.irs.uji.es\/project\/rauvi\">RAUVI<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The project proposes two scenarios that demonstrate the capabilities to be developed: search and recovery of an object, and panel intervention in the context of underwater observatories, both to be developed autonomously.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"739\" height=\"547\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.uji.es\/irs\/files\/2023\/08\/image-33.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-302\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.uji.es\/irs\/files\/2023\/08\/image-33.png 739w, https:\/\/blogs.uji.es\/irs\/files\/2023\/08\/image-33-300x222.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 739px) 100vw, 739px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Project start<\/strong>:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">01\/01\/2012<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Project end<\/strong>:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">01\/01\/2015<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">TRITON is a marine robotics research project focused on the development of technologies really close to the real needs of the final user and, as such, it can facilitate the potential technological transfer of its results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The scenarios chosen for the development and experimental validation of the project are: (1) \u201cSearch and Recovery\u201d and (2) \u201cPermanent Observatories\u201d. Under (1) we will address the recovery of a typical airplane black box and under (2) we will carry out maintenance operations characteristic of permanent marine stations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The project would not be viable without the technological developments reached by the ongoing national coordinated project under the DPI program entitled&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.irs.uji.es\/rauvi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">RAUVI<\/a>, whose consortium is formed by the members that sign in the present proposal.
