La mayor\u00eda de las traducciones e interpretaciones se dan entre el groenland\u00e9s y el dan\u00e9s. En Groenlandia, la mayor\u00eda de la ciudadan\u00eda habla groenland\u00e9s, una lengua <em>inuit<\/em>, mientras que una minor\u00eda habla dan\u00e9s, una lengua escandinava. Ambas lenguas presentan diferencias importantes entre ellas, lo que supone un reto para los estudiantes de traducci\u00f3n e interpretaci\u00f3n. Por ello, la meticulosidad y prudencia con la que trabajan es indispensable para preservar las formas ling\u00fc\u00edsticas tradicionales y los recursos comunicativos, y para desarrollar nuevas terminolog\u00edas y g\u00e9neros textuales.
