remeb
Eco-friendly ceramic membrane biorreactor (MBR) based on recycled agricultural and industrial wastes for wastewater reuse _ REMEB – (H2020 grant 641998)

The main objectives of the REMEB project are the implementation and validation of a low-cost ceramic membrane bioreactor (MBR) in a Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP)...

silife
Production of quartz powders with reduced crystalline silica toxicity - SILIFE (LIFE14--NV_ES_000238)

The main objective consisted of producing commercial quartz powders that show very little or no RCS toxicity. To do this, a pilot plant for treatment of commercial quartz powders was designed. The treated quartz produced in this plant was verified by means of industrial trials performed by several end users from different industrial sectors with good results.

silife_im
Development of a sintering center and know-how exchange for non equilibrium sintering methods of advanced ceramic composite materials – SINTERCER (REGPOT-CT-2013-316232-SINTERCER)

The SINTERCER project will strengthen the research potential of the SINTERCER Centre - an integral part of the Institute of Advanced Manufacturing Technology (IOS), Poland.

National Projects

EOLO
Development of advanced materials in wind energy - EOLO + (RTC-2017-6341-3)

To improve wind energy production through the experimental development of technologies to optimise the efficiency, performance and output of wind turbines by combining highly erosion-resistant materials (elastomers and short fibres) and lightweight materials (microcellular resins and 3D fabrics) in blade manufacture.

cemink2
Water regeneration with inkjet technology applied to low-cost ceramic membranes - CEMINK (RTC-2017-5897-5)

The CEMINK project aims to develop and validate a technology focused on the manufacture of low-cost ceramic membranes for microfiltration and ultrafiltration, as well as membranes with special requirements (anti-biofouling, catalytic, ...).

12_12_2018_Contforma-1200x900
New materials for a more sustainable and comfortable construction - CONFORTMA (RTC-2017-5904-5)

To achieve healthier, more energy-efficient and environmentally friendly homes. These are three of the main objectives of the CONFORTMA project. An initiative launched by Gimecons Construcciones y Contratas, the University Institute of Ceramic Technology (IUTC) and the ceramic company Realonda.

Sinvir2
Obtaining surfaces with bactericidal and virucidal functionality - SINVIR (INNEST/2021/19)

The SINVIR project aims to obtain new antiseptic substances against the SARS-CoV-2 virus based on Ag nanocomposites, to be incorporated into commonly used materials used in different sectors of the habitat, in order to create safe spaces in which the growth and transmission of bacteria and viruses can be stopped

FotoWeb2022
Development of the scaling process in the manufacture of ceramic switches and their electronic control - PULSACER (INNEST/2022/105)

The PULSACER project has its origin in a patent developed jointly by researchers from the University Institutes of Advanced Materials and Ceramic Technology of the Universitat Jaume I. The aim of the project is to scale up the manufacture of a ceramic switch from the laboratory prototype to the industrial plant.
