TITAN organizes a range of events to share knowledge and foster dialogue among researchers, professionals, policymakers, and the wider public.
- Workshops: Multidisciplinary workshops bring together team members and invited experts to discuss findings from the research, analyze case studies, and develop shared approaches to risks and protections in AI-based language technologies. These workshops also serve as training sessions, covering methods such as qualitative and quantitative analysis, plain-language communication, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Public lectures and seminars: The project hosts open lectures and seminars aimed at diverse audiences, providing accessible insights into the societal impact of AI in translation and interpreting. These events create opportunities for continuous dialogue with stakeholders and encourage public participation.
- Focus groups: Interactive sessions with professional and non-professional users of AI-based translation tools are held to test awareness-raising and training materials. The results directly inform the development of the project’s guidelines and certification framework.
- Round tables: Consensus-building round tables bring together experts, policymakers, and practitioners to debate identified risks, protective measures, and good practices, generating practical recommendations.
- Conferences: The project participates in and organizes conferences to disseminate results and engage with international academic and professional communities. A Final Project Conference will present the main outcomes, gather feedback from stakeholders, and explore pathways for the future implementation of the TITAN certification system.
Through these events, the project creates spaces for exchange, collaboration, and critical reflection, ensuring that its results are tested, discussed, and widely disseminated.
