SIMBAAD Project (2020-2022)

The SIMBAAD is a “Science for Peace” Project, which stands for “Integrated System for Monitoring and Searching of Aquatic Threats for Defense”, having as goal helping in the detection of underwater mines, so that the sea can be a safer environment, avoiding exposure of humans to explosions while deactivation. The project has been jointly performed by the University of Balearic Island, UTEK, Narwhal, and the Jaume I University (IRSLab), with the funding and collaboration of the Spanish Government. The final demonstration was performed the 12th of October 2022, in Cartagena Harbour, Algameca Naval Station (Spain).
