Summary:
ThinkinAzul is a joint research and innovation strategy to protect marine ecosystems against climate change and pollution and to address the challenges of aquaculture, fishing and tourism, with the Region of Murcia being the national coordinator of the Complementary R+ Plan D+i in Marine Sciences . The national Marine Sciences program brings together 7 autonomous communities (Andalusia, Cantabria, Valencian Community, Galicia, Region of Murcia, Canary Islands and Balearic Islands) with the commitment to integrate and enhance all marine research in these regions and with the general objective of create a network of centers of excellence to cooperatively address challenges in marine research, aquaculture, new technologies, impacts on the marine environment and the blue economy. In this sense, through the program a research, innovation and transfer network will be developed that allows the integration and development of three basic lines of action .
